Plagiarism Policy

Definition of Plagiarism:

Plagiarism is presenting someone else's work, ideas, or words as your own without proper acknowledgment or citation. It includes copying or paraphrasing substantial portions of another person's work, including text, figures, tables, or concepts, without giving appropriate credit.

Originality and Attribution:

Authors submitting their research manuscripts to our journal must ensure that their work is original and does not contain any plagiarized content. Any sources, including the author's previously published work, should be appropriately cited and referenced. Proper attribution to the original authors and seeds is essential.

Plagiarism Screening:

To maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, all submitted manuscripts will undergo a thorough plagiarism screening process. We employ industry-standard plagiarism detection software, such as TURNITIN, to compare the manuscript against a vast database of published works, academic papers, and other relevant sources.

Acceptable Similarity Index:

The acceptable level of similarity index, as determined by the plagiarism detection software, is set at a maximum of 20%. This includes both direct matches and paraphrased content. If the similarity index exceeds this threshold without proper citation or inclusion of a bibliography, the manuscript will be considered in violation of our plagiarism policy.

Consequences of Plagiarism:

If plagiarism is detected in a submitted manuscript, the following actions may be taken:

  1. a) Rejection: The manuscript will be immediately rejected, and the authors will be notified of the violation.
  2. b) Notification: The corresponding author and affiliated institution(s) will be informed of the plagiarism incident.
  3. c) Blacklisting: The authors involved in the plagiarism incident may be blacklisted, making them ineligible to submit future manuscripts to our journal.
  4. d) Reporting: In severe plagiarism or repeated offenses, the incident may be reported to appropriate academic institutions, funding agencies, or other relevant bodies.

Author Responsibilities:

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and the appropriate citation of all sources used. They should only use direct quotes when necessary, ensuring they are correctly attributed. Paraphrased content should also be cited appropriately. Authors should be familiar with and abide by our journal's guidelines for ethical publishing practices.

Editorial Responsibilities:

The editorial board and reviewers are committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity. They will diligently review the manuscripts, perform plagiarism checks, and report any suspected cases of plagiarism to the Editor in Chief. The final decision regarding accepting or rejecting a manuscript based on plagiarism concerns rests with the Editorial Board.

We take plagiarism very seriously and are dedicated to maintaining the integrity of academic publishing. By adhering to this plagiarism policy, we strive to ensure that the research published in our journal is original, properly attributed, and contributes to advancing knowledge in the respective field.
